Faculty, staff and graduate students have an opportunity to develop their knowledge of resources available to victims of sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, and stalking in a Harbor training session available through the Women and Gender Resource Center.
The purpose of Harbor is to create safe places all over campus where victims of sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, and stalking can go to receive assistance. Through the training, participants will gain insight and sensitivity to the issues of interpersonal violence. Further, participants will be made aware of the resources available to victims in order to provide information to those in need.
Harbor trainings last two hours and can be incorporated into a single staff meeting or broken into components to accommodate participant schedules. Those who complete the program and sign the Harbor pledge will be given an identifying placard to display in their office.
Registration is required for Harbor Training. Faculty and staff can register for an open session by logging into UA LMS. Graduate students can register by completing the Graduate Student Registration Form.
To schedule a private Harbor training for your department, please fill out the Harbor Training Request Form.
